Kroger And Starbucks To Come To Meadowthorpe Manor Shopping Center Jan 22, 2007
Later this year, the residents of the Meadowthorpe neighborhood will see a significant
upgrade at the Meadowthorpe Manor Shoppes located at 1600 Leestown Road.
Bob Cole, President of Coleman Group, LLC, announced today that Coleman Group
LLC has entered into a long term lease with Kroger, Central Kentucky’s leading grocery
store chain, to anchor the shopping center. They will occupy the 44,000 square foot space
that is being vacated by EW James. Kroger will also upgrade the facility by adding a
drive-thru pharmacy in addition to extensive renovation of the existing store.
Coleman Group, LLC has also entered into a long-term lease with Starbucks to locate on
an out parcel at Meadowthorpe Manor Shoppes. They plan a Grand Opening in June as
well.
Shirley Young, President of the Meadowthorpe Neighborhood Association said “We are
extremely thrilled and excited to have Kroger as our newest neighbor! We appreciate all
that Mr. Cole has done to enhance our neighborhood shopping center and entice Kroger
to this location. CONGRATULATIONS!”
Bob Cole, Principal Broker of Coleman Group and an investor in Palm Lakes, LLC,
which owns the property, represented both parties in the Kroger transaction. He also
represented the Landlord in the Starbucks transaction, along with Paul Ray Smith and Jim
Kemper of NAI Isaacs who represented Starbucks.
Lynn Pearson, Director of Property Management for Coleman Group, stated “It took a lot
of people to make this happen, including members of the Meadowthorpe Neighborhood
Association, whose assistance was vital.”
